If you only write what you know, you’ll never know anything else. If you only write what you see you’ll never see anything else. In order to experience new things you must always step outside of your comfort zone, or your live you life never knowing anything new.

Listen to your critics. Because if you go through life denying what they say, you’ll never be a good writer. The only way to improve, is to listen to those who tell you what you need to work on.

Don’t discredit people because of their age. You never know how much someone has accomplished until you’ve known them.

I often say never write about white people. Not many people realize what I mean by this. Its pretty simple. Some may think its unrealistic to have an ethnically diverse cast but its ten times more unrealistic to see a cast of only white people. Like I don’t know where you’ve grown up but the world isn’t that way, at least not if your reading this post in English.

Perfect spelling and grammer shoudn’t be held to a high regard. Not everone has the same education you do. Not everyone can afford to go to school. Not everyone is of the same mental capasity as you. Not everyone speaks the same version of english as you. And you shoudn’t judge someone for it. Nor their writing. Just because someone speaks or types differntly does not reflect “intelect” or their ability of being a good human being. just a reminder.

If you are blaming the oppressed rather than the oppressor you know that something is wrong.

One thing I think, about humans is that we'd rather live in a comfortable lie then in an unpleasant truth.

Sometimes people ask why I'm so willing to give out #free copies of my books and the answer is pretty simple. Money is not why I write.So why would I keep someone from enjoying that because they can't afford my book? If your in the arts for money your picking the wrong job.
